L'avvento e poi l'affermazione della tecnologia digitale 
rappresenta per la fotografia una rivoluzione che va ben 
oltre, per importanza e per conseguenze, le trasformazioni 
e i cambiamenti che si sono registrati fino ad oggi nella 
storia della fotografia e che hanno riguardato aspetti o 
momenti del procedimento definito da Daguerre oltre 
centocinquant'anni fa. Ai problemi del digitale, ai 
cambiamenti di abitudini che hanno seguito o stanno 
seguendo alla sua diffusione è dedicato questo saggio che 
si propone di verificare le nuove prospettive aperte e i 
vecchi comportamenti progressivamente abbandonati.


The advent and affirmation of digital technology is a 
milestone for photography. And it goes beyond the 
transformations and changes that have taken place to date 
in the history of photography and that concerned aspects or 
moments of the procedure that Daguerre developed more than 
one hundred and fifty years ago. This essay is dedicated to 
the issues concerning digitalization, the changes in habits 
that it has brought about or that are still taking place. 
The essay aims at verifying the new horizons that have 
opened and the old methods that are gradually being 
abandoned.
